Somatryx
About us

An independent health-software studio

Somatryx is a small, self-funded project. There are no investors asking for engagement metrics and no roadmap written by a growth department — and that shows in every product decision.

Why it exists

Because good material was scattered and decisions were hidden

All three apps grew out of the same problem in different fields: too many sources without traceability and tools that return a figure without showing how they reached it. In training, medicine and statistics, a plausible answer is not enough unless it can be checked.

The answer in all three cases was the same: ship the content inside the app so it doesn't depend on signal, cite the sources so it can be checked, and don't build the business on top of the user's data.

What we have shipped

Where we are today

  • 3apps in production
  • 529exercises in Horme
  • 764medical guides in Epistemis
  • 83,116checks in Eikos

Mobile first, but not only

Android shipped, iPhone and iPad on the way. Horme also has a native app on four watch platforms plus a web dashboard; Epistemis has a desktop app for Windows.

No dependencies we do not control

The apps don't pull third-party libraries from the internet and don't request permissions they don't use. Less attack surface, fewer things that break on their own in three years.

In two languages, properly

Neutral Latin American Spanish and English across the apps, the watches and these websites. Not a machine translation of the home screen with the rest left in Spanish. In Epistemis, English covers the interface and not the clinical content: a mistranslated drug entry is not a typo.

How it gets built

Three workshop rules

  1. First, make it checkable

Before a fact ships, it has to be traceable to its source from inside the app and without a connection.

  2. Second, don't let it lie

If data is missing, the app says so. No index gets padded with assumptions to make a screen look complete.

  3. Third, make it good-looking

A tool used every day deserves care in the details. In that order, though: pretty never fixes false.

What we are not

  • We are not a medical device. Our apps are educational material; they diagnose and treat nothing.
  • We do not replace a professional. Not a doctor, not a coach, not a dietitian.
  • We are not a social network. No feed, no followers, no comparisons with strangers.
  • We are not a big company. We answer the emails ourselves, and sometimes it takes a day.

Talking to us

One address for everything — support, press, partnerships and corrections: soporte@somatryx.com. The contact page lists what to include depending on the reason, so the first reply is a useful one.

There are no investors asking for engagement metrics. That is why the apps carry no ads and why all of it works with no account.

Independence, in one sentence.
The studio

No stock-photo office

There is no team of forty people smiling in a glass meeting room. There is a desk, a lot of reading, and a habit of checking everything twice.

Hands working over charts and a notebook
Crumpled paper texture
Window light in an empty room
Concrete architecture in hard light

See what we make

It's the best way to tell whether we share a standard.

All three are free, work offline and carry no ads.
